When Vettaiyan met Indian

As Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are gearing up for their upcoming films Vettaiyan and Indian 2, which are planned for release in October and July, respectively, a picture taken from the set where both crews met is going viral.

A fan shared an unseen picture of Kamal in Senapathy look and Rajinikanth inside the vanity van.

The trailer of Indian 2 was recently released and managed to make a reasonable noise. The glimpse, according to fans, was able to keep the expectation intact, while others felt it was underwhelming given the roaring success of the first part that was released in 1996.

The ensemble cast of Indian 2 also includes Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, and Samuthirakani, among others.

Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar are credited as the dialogue writers of the film. It has cinematography by Ravi Varman, editing by Sreekar Prasad, and music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Produced by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions, Indian 2 is all set to hit theatres on July 12 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The film also has a third part, whose shoot has been completed along with the second part.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth completed filming for his portions in Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, last month. Rajinikanth is joined by the ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Rithika Singh, and VJ Rakshan.

Vettaiyan has music by Anirudh Ravichander. This marks Anirudh's fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth. Previously, the musician had composed for Rajinikanth's Petta, Darbar, and Jailer. Other members of the technical crew include cinematographer S R Kathir and editor Philomin Raj.

Rajini revealed in a conversation with a yogi during his Himalayan visit that the film is planned to be released on October 10, but the makers have not given out the official release date.
