Actor-politician Vijay, who recently turned 50, thanked celebrities and political leaders who wished him on his birthday.

Leaders of all colours and stripes within and beyond Tamil Nadu wished the Tamil Nadu Vettri Kazhagam chief. Vijay, in his official statement, named each and every party and leader and thanked them.

Interestingly, TN CM and DMK chief MK Stalin and his son and minister Udhayanidhi haven't extended their wishes to Vijay on any public forum or social media platform.

Vijay also thanked media outlets, members of the film fraternity, the TVK cadre, and the public for extending their wishes.

On the work front, Vijay is gearing up for the release of Venkat Prabhu's sci-fi action Greatest of All Time, or GOAT. With Meenakshi Chaudhary playing the female lead, the ensemble cast of the film also includes industry heavyweights like Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, Laila, Prabhudheva, Mohan, and Jayaram. Venkat Prabhu regulars like Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajai Raj, and Aravind Akash are also part of the cast. The late actor and politician Vijayakanth will be making his appearance in the film in an AI format.

GOAT has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni, editing by Venkat Raajen, art direction by Rajeevan, and stunt direction by Dileep Subbarayan. Archana Kalpathi has produced the film under the AGS Entertainment banner.

The plot details of GOAT are currently kept under wraps. GOAT is scheduled to hit theatres on September 5 this year.

Vijay's 69th film, which will be his swansong before foraying into electoral politics, is speculated to be helmed by H. Vinoth, despite no official confirmation about the report having been made yet.
