Lokesh Kanagaraj extends his wishes to team Maharaja

Upon its release on Friday, Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Maharaja has received wide acclaim from viewers and critics. Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has also extended his wishes to the team on his social media handles.

Taking to Twitter, Lokesh wrote, "Thunderous response everywhere for Maharaja! Hearty Congratulations on your 50th film Vijay Sethupathi na! Keep inspiring us!! So happy for you. Nithilan anna. One more feather to the crown, Philomin Raj. Anurag Kashyap, I'm sure you were terrific, sir! Congratulations bros Jagdish Palanisamy and Sudhan Sundaram, and the entire cast & crew of Maharaja for the big success!

Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film is jointly produced by Sudhan Sundaram's Passion Studios and Jagdish Palanisamy's The Route banners.

Maharaja stars an ensemble cast including Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, and Natty Natraj in pivotal roles, along with Abhirami, Arul Doss, Munishkanth, Boys Manikandan, Singam Puli, Bharathiraja, Vinod Sagar, and PL Thenappan.

The film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, music composer Ajaneesh Loknath, and editor Philomin Raj.

The CE review of the film reads, "Maharaja is a whodunit, and strangely enough, it's also a whats-been-done. The story is hardly new, but the value is in the screenplay."
