
In a shocking development, actor Pradeep K Vijayan, who had acted in comedy and negative roles in Tamil films, was found dead in his Palavakkam residence on Thursday.
The reason for his death is yet to be ascertained, but initial reports suggest that the 47-year-old actor had breathing and cardiac issues. His mortal remains have been sent to the Royapettah Government Hospital for further examination.
A rumour has been circulating that Pradeep cannot be reached by phone or in person. However, popular YouTuber Prashanth, in his condolence message in X, wrote that he had met the actor at the special press screening of Maharaja yesterday.
According to the Neelankarai police, the actor was found collapsed in his bathroom and is said to have suffered a fall.
Pradeep K Vijayan first starred in Mirchi Siva's Sonna Puriyaadhu in 2013, but rose to fame playing Sadagopan in actor Ashok Selvan's crime thriller Thegidi in 2014. He went on to act in Thamizhukku En Ondrai Azhuththavum (2015), Orunaal Koothu (2016), Meesaya Murukku and Meiyaadha Maan in 2017, Irumbuthirai (2018), Hero (2019), Chakra (2021), and Lift in 2022. He was last seen in Raghava Lawrence's Rudhran (2023).
The actor is reportedly single and is said to be living alone in Chennai.
