AR Murugadoss shares deleted scene from Vijay's Thuppakki

On Monday, director AR Murugadoss took to his official X account to reshare a deleted scene from his 2012 directorial Thuppakki, starring Vijay in the lead role.

Sharing the clip, the director wrote, "In deleted scenes from Thuppakki, Captain Jagadeesh mimics Goundamani-Senthil comedy to delight the Mumbai police!" The video shows Vijay mimicking the iconic banana joke of Goundamani and Senthil, in Hindi.

Thuppakki also starred Vidyut Jammwal, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyan, Jayaram, Manobala, and others. The film follows Indian Army intelligence officer Jagadeesh, who attempts to track down, deactivate and destroy a sleeper cell after witnessing and barely surviving a bomb blast executed by them.

Thuppakki hit theatres on November 13, 2012, and opened to critical acclaim and commercial success. In 2014, the film was remade in Hindi as Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty by the same director, and in Bengali as Game: He Plays to Win. The film is backed by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the V Creations banner.

On the work front, AR Murugadoss is currently filming for his next directorial, SK23, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth and Vidyut Jammwal in lead roles. He is also set to collaborate with Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna and producer Sajid Nadiadwala for his next, Sikandar.

Vijay, on the other hand, is filming for The Greatest of All Time directed by Venkat Prabhu. After the film's release, the actor is most likely to dive deep into politics for a while.
