With just two weeks to go for the release of Keerthy Suresh's Raghu Thatha, the makers have announced that the film has cleared censorship formalities and has received a U certificate from the CBFC. A trailer for the film is set to be released soon.

Raghu Thatha is written and directed by Suman Kumar. Suman Kumar was one of the writers of the hit Prime Video series The Family Man. Along with Keerthy, MS Baaskar, Devadarshini, Ravindra Vijay, Anandsami, Jayakumar, Rajesh Balachandiran and Rajeev Ravindranathan are playing important roles in Raghu Thatha.

The supporting cast also includes Ismath Banu, Aadhira Pandilakshmi, Janaki, Chu Khoy Sheng, Mukesh, KS Mippu and Manoj Kumar Kalaivannan. Raghu Thatha is said to be a humourous and satirical take on the journey undertaken by a young woman Kayalvizhi (Keerthy Suresh) to 'protect the identity of her land and people'.

Raghu Thatha has cinematography by Yamini Yagnamurthy, who also shot Keerthy's Saani Kaayidham (2022). TS Suresh has handled the film's editing. Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films is producing Raghu Thatha, which is all set to hit theatres on August 15.

Upon release, the film will clash with Vikram's Thangalaan, Prashanth's Andhagan and Arulnithi's Demonte Colony 2.
