Actor Sivakarthikeyan has announced that he has named his newborn son, his third child, Pavan. The couple already has two children - Aaradhana and Gugan. According to SK's official note, the baby boy was born on June 2. Siva was married to Aarthy in 2010.
On the workfront, Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran by Rajkumar Periasamy has entered the post-production stage. The action film, based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book India's Most Fearless, is about late army officer Major Mukund Varadarajan who was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his act of bravery during a counterterrorism operation while on deputation to the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sai Pallavi plays the female lead in the film bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International and co-produced by Sony Pictures. GV Prakash is teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time. Also, cinematographer CH Sai, editor Kalaivanan and stunt director Stefan Richter are on board.
Meanwhile, Siva is also working on a project with director AR Murugadoss, tentatively titled SK 23. Murugadoss is pairing up the actor for the first time, he had earlier penned the script of Siva's Maan Karate. Rukmini Vasanth of the Sapta Saagaradaache Ello fame will play the female lead.
As a part of his non-acting duties, Sivakarthikeyan is backing PS Vinothraj's Kottukkaali starring Soori and Anna Ben in the lead. The film, earning praise in several festivals, is yet to get a theatrical release date.
