Actor Hansika Motwani will be seen in a dual role in her upcoming horror-thriller feature Gandhari, directed and produced by filmmaker R Kannan.
Veteran director Mani Ratnam will launch Gandhari's audio and trailer at 10 AM on July 12.
The film's plot follows a young woman who serves as the head officer of the Hindu Trust Committee and delves into the research of an ancient mammoth structure called ‘Gandharva Kottai’ built by a former king centuries ago. She is faced with several startling incidents in the process.
Hansika will join the ensemble of Metro Sirish, Mayilsamy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Aadukalam Naren, Stunt Silva, Vinodhini, Pavan, Brigida Saga, Vadivel Murugan, Kalairani, and many others in pivotal roles.
Director R Kannan will back the project under his Masala Pix banner, with Tholkappiyan getting credit for the story, Dhananjayan for screenplay, and Srini for dialogues. The technical crew has cinematographer Balasubramanian, music director LV Ganesh Muthu, editor Jijinthra, and stunt director Silva.
Though the makers are yet to reveal the official date of Gandhari's release, they are working to present the film in August.
