GV Prakash ropes in Sid Sriram and Thamarai for Siren's first single

GV Prakash Kumar, who is composing music for Jayam Ravi's upcoming film Siren, took to his X handle to share an update regarding the first single of the film.

In a post on X, GV Prakash wrote that he has roped in Sid Sriram to sing the first single of the song which has lyrics penned by Thamarai. "A special musical combo … working with my favourite for the first single of Siren … Thamarai, Sid Sriram, Sony Music South… let’s go. This one is for music lovers," he posted.

Penned and helmed by screenwriter-turned-filmmaker, Antony Bhagyaraj, the film stars Ravi as a prisoner, and Keerthy Suresh as a cop. Last year, the makers shared the teaser of the film which narrates the story of an Ambulance driver turned criminal, who awaits the day of his release from prison. However, the man gets to go out of jail after 14 years on parole. From the teaser, Siren seems to be some kind of cat-and-mouse chase between a cop and a convict.

The cast of Siren also includes Anupama Parameswaran, Samuthirakani, Azhagam Perumal, Yogi Babu and Tulasi among others. Antony Bhagyaraj has previously co-written Annathey, Viswasam and Hero.

Siren is said to be an action-packed emotional drama. Produced by Sujatha Vijaykumar of Home Movie Makers, the film's music is by GV Prakash. With Selvakumar SK of Maanagaram fame handling the cinematography, Ruben is in charge of editing.

While the film's release date is yet to be announced, the makers have confirmed that the film will be released in December.

Siren is scheduled to hit theatres on February 16.
