With cinematography by Ravi Varman, the film has editing by Sreekar Prasad and music by Anirudh. The film is being produced by Lyca Productions and has yet to receive an official release date.

On the other hand, directed by Pa Ranjith, Thangalaan also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan in lead roles. The film is said to be based on true incidents. It will focus on the Kolar Gold Factory in Karnataka and what transpired there under British rule.
