Dhanush's latest film Captain Miller, directed by Arun Matheswaran was released on Friday, January 12 and has been receiving positive reviews from critics as well as the audience. The film clashed with Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan and Arun Vijay's Mission Chapter 1 at the box office.

Actor and politician Udhayanidhi Stalin has now praised the film and the team behind it for crafting an exceptional and powerful story. On his X handle, he wrote, "I express my profound appreciation to the acting mastery of Dhanush, Thiru Shivarajkumar, the vision of director Arun Matheshwaran, the musical brilliance of brother GV Prakash, along with Sathya Jyothi, Priyanka Mohan, stunt master Dhilip Subbarayan, and others for crafting the exceptional film Captain Miller." 

He further added, "This film powerfully highlights the struggle of the oppressed people for the right to temple entry, skillfully made with the broader narrative of human rights within the backdrop of the freedom struggle." 

Dhanush responded to him and said, "Thank you dear Udhayanidhi Stalin brother, you never fail to appreciate art which you like, I still fondly remember the time when you had heaped praises for Karnan. This appreciation means a lot to me and my Captain Miller team and much thanks to you for the same."

Apart from Dhanush, Captain Miller also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, Shivrajkumar, John Kokken, and Nivedhithaa Sathish, among others. Backed by Sathya Jyothi Films, the film is an action drama, set against the pre-Independence era.
