Soori, Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan's Karudan shoot wrapped up

Actor Soori, who was last seen in Viduthalai Part 1, will be headlining Karudan which went on floors in September 2023. The cast also has Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan playing lead roles along with Soori.

Actor Samuthirakani, who plays a key role in the film, took to his X handle to announce that the shoot of this film, directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar has been wrapped up. 

The Vinodhaya Sitham actor shared some behind-the-scenes pictures from the film and wrote, "The shoot of my film directed by Durai Senthilkumar where Soori plays the protagonist has been wrapped up."

According to reports, actors Revathi Sharma, Shivatha Nair, Mottai Rajendran, Mime Gopi and a few others also play prominent roles in the film that is written by Vetrimaaran. 

Director RS Durai Senthilkumar last worked as a co-writer for Viduthalai Part 1. His last feature film was Dhanush's Pattas in 2020.

The film is produced by Lark Studios and Grassroots Film Company. While the music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the technical team includes cinematography by Arthur A Wilson and editing by Pradeep E Raghav.

Meanwhile, Samuthirakani who was last seen in Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's Are You Okay Baby, has a slew of movies in the pipeline including Shankar's Indian 2 and Game Changer, Prasanth Varma's Hanu Man and Nandha Periyasamy's Thiru Manickam.
