Sathyaraj and Vetri to lead dark comedy film

Actors Vetri and Sathyaraj have joined hands to star in the maiden feature directorial of Narendran Murthy. The filmmaker has previously worked on documentary films in the USA and Malaysia. The upcoming film, tentatively titled Production No. 1, is billed to be a dark comedy. 

Illayaraja Sekar is backing the film under the  Sekar G Productions banner. MS Bhaskar, Kovai Sarala, Sachu, Prarthana, and Airaa form the supporting cast of the upcoming film. A pooja ceremony for the film took place on Wednesday. The film is set to go on floors soon. 

Jerard Felix will compose music for the film, which will also feature cinematography by Kurangu Bommai-fame DOP NS Uthaya Kumar. Ramar, who has handled editing for Vetrimaaran's directorials such as Asuran and Vada Chennai, is the editor for this dark comedy.
