Selvaraghavan clarifies that he has not written Raayan's script

On Monday, director Selvaraghavan took to his official X account to clarify that he has not written the script for Dhanush's sophomore directorial, Raayan. 

He wrote, "Friends, heard reports that I have written the script for D 50  Raayan. I clarify that I have nothing to do with ‘Raayan's script or scripting process. It’s purely Dhanush's dream script and now he has made it into his own film. I am merely an actor in this project." 

Further, he also shared his excitement for the film. "Like all of you, I cannot wait to watch Raayan in theatres. Proud of my brother Dhanush and his hard work and dedication."

Helmed by and starring Dhanush in the lead, Raayan also stars Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, and Aparna Balamurali, as per reports. The shooting of D50 was wrapped in December last year and is currently in the post-production stage.

The technical team has music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Om Prakash, editing by Prasanna GK, and action choreography by Peter Hein. 

It may be noted that Dhanush is also directing another film titled Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, in which he won't be starring.
