Rukmini Vasanth joins AR Murugadoss' next with Sivakarthikeyan, film goes on floors

Actress Rukmini Vasanth is set to feature in AR Murugadoss' upcoming film, starring Sivakarthikeyan. The untitled movie will be Sivakarthikeyan's 23rd film and his first with director Murugadoss. Earlier, Murugadoss wrote the story for Sivakarthikeyan's sports-comedy film Maan Karate, directed by his former assistant Krish Thirukumaran.

The director took to his X handle to share the official news along with pictures of the cast and crew after the makers conducted a customary pooja function before starting the film's shoot. He wrote, "Very happy to have these amazing and talented people on board. Together, something special on your way." From the pictures, we can see that music composer Anirudh Ravichander, editor Sreekar Prasad and stunt choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan are on board as part of the technical crew.

Sivakarthikeyan himself took to social media to announce the project with Murugadoss on the director's birthday last September. 

Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in the science-fiction film Ayalaan, which was his 20th film. On the other hand, Rukmini is best known for her lead role opposite Rakshit Shetty in Hemanth M. Rao's Sapta Saagaradaache Ello films.
