The makers of Karthik Subbaraj's next, Suriya 44, unveiled the film's title teaser on Wednesday. The film has been titled Retro. The romantic action film also stars Pooja Hegde and Joju George in lead roles.
The title teaser shows Suriya as a man attempting to reform himself for the sake of love. He makes promises to his lover, played by Pooja Hegde, to give up anger, violence, working with his father, and other such vices. As he lists these activities, we see glimpses of his life and lifestyle, following which we also see glimpses of his relationship with her character.
Retro also stars Jayaram, Nasser, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar, Karunakaran, Tamizh, Prem Kumar, Ramachandran Durairaj, Sandeep Raj, Murugavel, and Remya Suresh among others.
With Santhosh Narayanan as the music composer, the technical crew of the film crew comprises cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, editor Shafique Mohamed, art director Jackson, action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee, and costume designer Praveen Raja.
Retro is produced by Stone Bench Films and 2D Entertainment. With the shoot for the film completed, the makers are yet to announce the release date for the film. However, it is revealed that the film will hit theatres in Summer 2025.
