With the Pongal festival release locked, voices seeking updates from Ajith's Vidaamuyarchi have grown louder than ever before.
Makers of the Magizh Thirumeni directorial announced on the Christmas day that the film's first single, titled 'Sawadeeka', a romantic number featuring Ajith and Trisha, will be releasing on December 27 at 1 PM. The film wrapped production a few days ago.
Trisha will be playing Ajith's love interest for the fifth time in Vidaamuyarchi, after Ji (2005), Kireedam (2007), Mankatha (2011), and Yennai Arindhaal (2015). Apart from the two, the film also stars Arjun and Regina Cassandra, in quite possibly negative roles, and Aarav, Nikhil Nair, Dasarathi, and Ganesh, among others.
The technical crew of Vidaamuyarchi includes cinematographer Om Prakash ISC, editor NB Srikanth, and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. The film's post-theatrical digital rights have been bagged by Netflix. The film is produced by A Subaskaran of Lyca Productions.
Ajith also has Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, in the pipeline. Good Bad Ugly is also set for a Pongal release, but the film's producer, Mythri Movie Makers, is expected to postpone it to avoid a clash with Vidaamuyarchi.
