The makers of Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie dropped the glimpse from the single 'Chikitu Vibe' on Thursday, coinciding with Rajini's birthday.
The under-one-minute glimpse has the 74-year-old star looking robust as ever, matching the energy of the rest of the dancers. The number was composed by Anirudh, while he sung it with multi-hyphenate veteran director T Rajendar and Arivu, who penned it. However, it wasn't specified when the full song will be out.
Coolie boasts a star-studded ensemble of Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and Soubin Shahir. Reports also suggest that Aamir Khan is onboard the film and that the actor has already reached Jaipur for the shoot. However, the actor or the makers are yet to confirm the same. It is worth noting that Rajinikanth and Aamir have collaborated for Dilip Shankar's action-thriller Aatank Hi Aatank (1995), which is loosely based on Mario Puzo's The Godfather. If the rumours are anything to go by, the two will be seen on screen together after a gap of 29 years.
Coolie went on floors in July. On the technical front, it has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, editing by Philomin Raj, and stunts by Anbariv. The dialogues for the film are written by Lokesh alongside Chandhru Anbazhagan, who has also written the additional screenplay for the film.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner, Coolie is scheduled to release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada. An official release date is yet to be announced.
