The makers of JSK Satish Kumar's directorial debut Fire, starring Balaji Murugadoss, dropped the trailer for the film on Friday.
Taking a step further from the earlier released teaser that showed Balaji Murugadoss' character in an enigmatic way, giving him some benefit of doubt, the trailer removes all the ambiguity surrounding his character and focuses on how devious he is. The glimpse shows how the male character misuses his profession as a physiotherapist to entrap several women into his sextortionist racket.
To the uninformed, the story may have been inspired by the sensational Nagercoil Kasi case of 2020. Kasi was a notorious exortionist. He was involved in shooting intimate with over 100 women in a compromised position and has extorted lakhs of money from the victims. The prosecution revealed that he exploited over 120 women, and law enforcement recovered almost 1,900 obscene photographs and 400 videos from him.
The film, produced by Sathish Kumar's JSK Film Corporation, also stars Chandini Tamilarasan, Rachitha Mahalakshmi, Sakshi Agarwal, Gayathri Shan, Singampuli and Suresh Chakravarthi. Fire's technical crew comprises music composer DK, cinematographer Sathish G, editor CS Prem Kumar, and art director SS Suseedevaraj.
