The makers of Karthi and Arvind Swami-starrer Meiyazhagan have announced that the film's audio will be launched on August 31. Sharing the news on social media, they said, "Keep your hearts open for songs that will transport you into the rooted world of our Meiyazhagan. Get ready for a celebration of emotions."
The film will be produced by Jyotika and Suriya under their banner, 2D Entertainment. This will be Karthi's third association with the production house, following Kadaikutty Singam (2018) and Viruman (2022).
Sri Divya will play the female lead in the film, which will also have Saran Shakti and Rajkiran in prominent roles. The rest of the cast includes Swathi Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Sri Ranjani, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, Saran, Rachel Rebecca, Anthony, Rajkumar, Indumati, Rani Samyukta, Kayal Subramani, and Ashok Pandian.
Meiyazhagan has cinematography by Mahendran Jayaraju, music by Govind Vasantha, and editing by R. Govindraj. It reunites Govind Vasantha and Prem Kumar after their blockbuster soundtrack in 96.
The film is all set for release on September 27.
