Wishes came pouring in for actor-politician Vijay, who, in a formal event, launched his party's flag, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, on Thursday.
Vijay floated his political party earlier this year, which will make its electoral debut in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. His fan organisation was engaged in several social welfare activities, hinting at the actor's political entry.
After announcing his political plunge, the actor said he would quit films after his commitments—GOAT and his untitled 69th film.
As a part of his party's welfare activities, Vijay hosted meet-and-greet events for students who topped their 10th and 12th public examinations earlier this year. He also visited the ailing people who were hospitalised after consuming hooch in Kallakurichi.
Vijay is reportedly planning to hold his party's first conference after the release of his upcoming film, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). The party's ideology and policies are expected to be made public at the conference.
Several film fraternity colleagues of Vijay wished him well for the flag unveiling event, followed by the release of the party's official anthem, composed by Thaman S and written by Vivek.
