Actor Soori, who is basking in the success of RS Durai Senthilkumar's Garudan, will next be seen playing the lead in the film directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj, of Vilangu fame.
The film's cast and crew members and plot details are yet to be revealed. Soori-Prasanth Pandiyaraj's collaboration will be bankrolled by Lark Studios' K Kumar.
Prasanth Pandiyaraj's previously made Vilangu, a webseries starring Vemal, made his debut with Bruce Lee that had GV Prakash Kumar in the lead. His other films Jack, Lingam, and Lucky, are under several stages of production.
Soori, meanwhile, will next be seen in Kottukkaali, his second as a lead after Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai, third in the order of release. The film, directed by Koozhangal-fame PS Vinothraj, will mark the Tamil debut of popular Malayalam actor Anna Ben. Kottukkaali's cinematography is handled by Sakthi, while Ganesh Siva is taking care of editing.
Kottukkaali, produced by actor Sivakarthikeyan's SK Productions, will release in theatres on August 23, along with Mari Selvaraj's Vaazhai, Vemal-Karunaas' Pogumidam Vegu Thooramillai, and Kamaraj Vel's anthology Adharma Kadhaigal.
