On Sunday, on the occasion of Malavika Mohanan's birthday, the makers of Vikram's Thangalaan unveiled a new poster of the actor. Malavika will be seen as Aarathi, a local deity in Kolar Gold Fields, where the film is set.
Directed by Pa Ranjith, Thangalaan also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and Hari Krishnan. Thangalaan is a historical adventure that narrates the role of oppressed communities in the exploration of gold in the south of India.
On the technical team, the film has cinematography by A Kishor Kumar, and editing by Selva RK. Tamil Prabha is the film's co-writer. Neelam Productions is backing Thangalaan, along with Studio Green.
Releasing on August 15, Thangalaan will be clashing with Keerthy Suresh's Raghu Thatha and Arulnithi's Demonte Colony 2.
