Venkat Prabhu opens up on GOAT second single and Mankatha re-release

Director Venkat Prabhu, who is gearing up for his upcoming film Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) starring Vijay, has opened up when the second single of the film will be out.

As his fans celebrated the 17th anniversary of his debut outing Chennai - 600028, Venkat Prabhu had a casual chat session on the X platform.

To a question from a fan on when the Vijay-starrer's second single will be released, he said it will release in June. While he hasn't specified the date, it is speculated the single might release on the actor's birthday on June 22.

The first single 'Whistle Podu' was released on April 14. Madhan Karky penned lyrics of the song and Vijay lent his vocals.

To another question which was about Mankatha's re-release on May 1 (Ajith's birthday), he responded saying he tried his best but since the rights are with Sun Pictures only they have to take the final call.

His upcoming film with Vijay, GOAT, also stars Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, and Yugendran Vasudevan.

On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Siddharth Nuni, editing by Venkat Raajen, art direction by Rajeevan, and stunt direction by Dileep Subbarayan. Archana Kalpathi producing the film under the AGS Entertainment banner.

Greatest Of All Time is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 5.
