'Kondattam' song from Kurangu Pedal out

We had previously reported that Kurangu Pedal, directed by Kamalakannan, will hit theatres on May 3. Actor Sivakarthikeyan is producing the film under his banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions.

The makers have now released a song 'Kondattam' from the film. Sung by Ahana Balaji, K Vidhyarupini and V Shivathmika, Kondattam has lyrics written by director Bramma.

Touted to be a feel-good drama, Kurangu Pedal is inspired from the short story Cycle written by Rasi Azhagappan. Set in the summer of 1980s in Salem's Katheri village, the film is set to delve into the bond between a son, who is determined to learn how to ride a cycle, and his father. According to the makers, the film is expected to be a poignant exploration of family dynamics and the pursuit of dreams.

Santhosh Velumurugan, VR Ragavan, M Gnanasekar, Rathish, and Sai Ganesh will play pivotal roles in Kurangu Pedal. Kaali Venkat plays the father, while Prasanna Balachander and Jenson Diwakar from the famous YouTube channel Nakkalites are also part of the cast.

Kamalakannan has previously helmed films like Madhubaanakadai (2012) and Vattam (2022).

The film has music by Ghibran Vaibodha, cinematography by Sumee Baskaran, editing by Shivanandeeswaran, and sound design by Antony BJ Ruban.
