Elan says his project with Dhanush will materialise soon

As director Elan is preparing to release his film Star, with Kavin and Aaditi Pohankar in the lead, says he is close to joining hands with Dhanush for his next.

In an interview to a popular Tamil magazine, the Pyaar Prema Kadhal helmer said he had narrated a subject to Dhanush based on an incident occured in Madurai. He added that since this film has to be made on a big scale both him and the actor are waiting for the right time and the project will begin soon.

On the workfront, Elan has Star, for which the release date is not yet announced. The film stars Kavin, Aaditi Pohankar, Preity Mukundhan, and Geetha Kailasam in main roles.

The film produced by BVSN Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar under the banners Rise East Entertainment and Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, has cinematographer Ezhil Arasu, editor Pradeep E Ragav, costume designer Sujith Sudhakaran, art director Vinoth Raj Kumar, and stunt director Vicky in its technical crew.

Meanwhile, Dhanush's hands are full with his 50th film Raayan awaiting a release date and a big line-up of Shekhar Kammula's Kubera, Mari Selvaraj's D 52, and Ilaiyaraaja biopic with Arun Matheswaran. The actor is also directing Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam or NEEK, starring a bunch of upcoming actors.
