First single 'Election song' from Vijay Kumar's Election out

The makers of Vijay Kumar's Election have released the first single from the film. Titled 'Election song', the single has been sung by Mukesh Mohamed with lyrics by Gnanakaravel. The film is helmed by Thamizh, who has previously helmed Seththumaan. 

Election also stars Preethi Asrani of Ayothi fame, as the female lead. The film also features actors like George Maryan, Vathikuchi-fame Dileepan, Richa Joshi, Natchiyal Suganthi, and Pavel Navageethan in important character roles. The cast of Election also has many fresh faces, who, according to Thamizh, are the soul of the film.

Election is set to revolve around local body elections that take place in the Vellore district. In an earlier conversation with CE, director Thamizh said, "Election tries to convey the message that people will have a good future if they choose the right counsellor." There are multiple local body elections in the film which go on to affect the life of the protagonist (Vijay Kumar) in multiple ways.

The film's dialogues have been penned by writer Azhagiya Periyavan. The film will feature cinematography by Mahendran Jayaraju, music by Govind Vasantha and editing by CS Premkumar.
