On Saturday, the makers of Hansika Motwani and Aadhi Pinisetty's Partner released the film's trailer. Directed by debutant Manoj Damodharan, the film is produced by RFC Creations.

The trailer starts by showing Aadhi and Yogi Babu as friends who steal for a living. When they try to steal from a scientist (Pandiarajan), Yogi Babu falls trap to one of his scientific experiments, transforming him into a woman, played by Hansika Motwani. Aadhi and Hansika's struggle for the latter to turn back into Yogi Babu forms the crux of the film.

In a previous conversation with CE, Manoj, who has assisted director Sargunam in Kalavani and co-directed the Nayanthara-starrer Dora, said that Partner will be a full-fledged comedy, with an interesting science-fiction fantasy element. "Both Hansika and Aadhi will play challenging roles. Hansika, in particular, won't be playing the typical Tamil cinema heroine."

Partner also stars Palak Lalwani, Pandiarajan, Robo Shankar, John Vijay, and Yogi Babu, among others. With music by Santhosh Dhayanidhi and cinematography by Shabir Ahmed, the film is expected to hit the theatres in July.
