It is clear that Sarath Kumar is happily riding the success wave of Vijay's latest, Varisu. The Telugu version of the Pongal release, titled Vaarasudu, is a huge success too.

This is the first time Sarath Kumar is sharing screenspace with Vijay. The former plays business tycoon Rajendran, the father of Vijay's character.

Sharing his excitement about watching Varisu in theatres, Sarath Kumar tweeted, "Kudos to the production house and the producer Dil Raju garu and the entire crew and technicians in front and behind the camera and to the fans of Vijay and the audience for making this stupendous success possible, Thank you all."

Sarath Kumar, who was also recently seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, awaits the release of the second instalment of the movie.

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is a family entertainer that stars Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, and Shaam among others.
