Bhaskar Sakthi's Vadakkan goes on floors

Scriptwriter Bhaskar Sakthi's debut feature directorial Vadakkan commenced filming on Thursday. The film is backed by popular publisher Vediyappan, under the Discovery Cinemas banner. Vadakkan will be presented by Cinema Palace.
Shakthi Bhaskar has previously written dialogues for films like Em Magan, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Naan Mahaan Alla, and Pandiya Naadu. He has also been the scriptwriter for Azhagarasamiyin Kuthirai. In a statement, he revealed that Vadakkan will talk about a much-needed topic of this era.
Vadakkan stars a completely new team of debut actors including Kunguma Raj as the male lead and Vairamala as the female lead. The film will have sync sound or live sound recording. Rajesh Saseendran, who recorded live sound for Thalaikoothal is working in Vadakkan as well.
SJ Janani, a Carnatic musician, will be composing the music for the film. While Theni Easwar will be handling the cinematography, Nagooran will be editing the film.
