Update on Dhanush's third directorial to arrive on this date

Actor Dhanush, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Captain Miller, directed by Arun Matheswaran, shared an announcement that he will reveal an update on his third directorial on December 24. The film will be produced by his production and distribution banner Wunderbar Films.

In a poster that he shared on his X handle, we can see a bench placed in the backdrop of a beach with some letters on it. The film has been tentatively titled DD3 Although no official details regarding the film have been revealed so far, GV Prakash had mentioned that he will be scoring music for the film in an interview with a media channel. 

In the interview, the music director shared that the film will be an out-and-out romance film and three songs have been completed. 

It is to be noted that Dhanush made his directorial debut with the comedy-drama film Pa Paandi (2017). His production and distribution company Wunderbar Films was founded in 2010. He is helming his 50th film as an actor and sophomore as a director tentatively titled D50.

Dhanush was last seen in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Vaathi directed by Venky Atluri which was released earlier this year.

His upcoming film Captain Miller, helmed by Arun Matheswaran also stars Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, Shivrajkumar, John Kokken, and Nivedhithaa Sathish, among others. The film's technical crew comprises GV Prakash (music composer), Siddharth Nuni (cinematography) and Nagooran Ramachandran (editing). 

Set in the pre-Independence period, this period action drama is backed by Sathya Jyothi Films. After the release of Captain Miller, which marks Arun's third directorial, the director will be collaborating with Dhanush for another film, which will be backed by the latter's banner, Wunderbar Films.

Captain Miller will be competing with the Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth directorial Lal Salaam and Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan at the box office. 

Meanwhile, Dhanush also has a film with Mari Selvaraj and another with Shekhar Kamula in the pipeline. In Hindi, he is reuniting with Aanand L Rai for the third time, for a film titled Tere Ishk Mein. 

After Captain Miller, Dhanush and Arun will be once again reuniting for a film. The film will also be backed by Wunderbar Films.
