Kamal Haasan's 1987 film, Pesumpadam/Pushpaka Vimana, is all set to have a re-release soon, the actor's production banner Raaj Kamal Films International, announced on Saturday.

However, he is in for a twist as a contract killer is after him, assuming him to be the affluent man.

Pesumpadam starred Samir Khakhar, Amala, Tinu Anand and K S Ramesh, apart from Kamal Haasan, in prominent roles. B C Gowrishankar cranked the camera for the film which featured editing by D Vasu and music by L Vaidyanathan.

Pushpaka Vimana won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 35th National Film Awards. The makers are yet to announce the date of the film's re-release.
