Eighteen years of Tamannaah: The actor pens a note calling acting her true love

It's been eighteen long years since Tamannaah began her acting career. The actor marks her glorious journey by entering into the attire of a new character that she had never attempted before, a cop, in Disney Plus Hotstar's series Aakhri Sach. Encapsulating both the benchmarks in her career, Tamannaah pens a brief note on her Instagram account.

"From teen dreams to adult realisations. From a damsel in distress and the girl next door to a badass bouncer and now a fearless investigator… what a ride it's been! 18 years on this journey to eternity with my first true love acting, " Tamannaah begins her note by reminiscing her journey so far.

On mentioning her character, Anya, in Aakhri Sach, Tamannaah adds, Anya is an extremely special role for me. Playing a cop in a gripping narrative like Aakhri Sach was a challenge for sure, but one I welcomed with open arms. My attempt was to channel every emotion into this character and do complete justice to it. Hope you guys like Anya!"

Tamannaah began her acting career with the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in 2005. Then she went on to star in Telugu and Tamil films and established herself as a successful heroine who acted alongside most of the superstars in the southern industry, including Chiranjeevi, Vijay, Surya, Ram Charan, Ajith and Prabhas, among others. She also tasted her share of success in Hindi films as well.

Meanwhile, Aakhri Sach, directed by Robbie Grewal, is based on the Burari deaths, a spine-chilling case that shocked the country. The series also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Shivin Narang, Danish Iqbal, Nishu Dikshit, Kriti Vij and Sanjeev Chopra, among others.
