Actor Vikram's next, tentatively titled Chiyaan62, has been announced. The film will be directed by SU Arun Kumar, who recently made the critically and commercially successful Chiththa, starring Siddharth in the lead. GV Prakash, who has worked with Vikram in films like Thaandavam, Dheiva Thirumagal and the upcoming Thangalaan, will be joining hands with the actor once again for the new film.
A three-minute-long announcement video was made for the same by the makers. In the video, which unfolds in a police station in Tiruttani, we can see a few band members being kept captive. In the next scene, where a woman registers her complaint, we can see two people barging into the police station with one beating the other. When Vikram stops fighting, he whispers something into a policeman's ear following which he leaves the station. When another officer stops him and asks his name, he says that this is the real question. He also mentions his store's address - Kalaivani Enterprises in the penultimate scene.
The announcement was made through a video by the film's production house Riya Shibu's HR Pictures. The action entertainer will go on floors at the beginning of next year. It may be noted that Riya's father Shibu Thameens bankrolled Vikram starrers like Irumugan and Saamy Square.
Apart from the yet-to-be-titled film, Vikram has Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram and Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan, waiting for release. He also has the period epic RS Vimal's Suriyaputra Mahavir Karna in the pipeline.
