Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's Are You Okay Baby gets OTT release date

Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's recently released social drama film Are You Okay Baby, starring Samuthirakani and Abhirami in lead roles, is coming to OTT platform Aha on October 31.

Aha took to their X handle to share the announcement and said, "The critically acclaimed intense drama of the year Are You Ok Baby to Premiere on October 31st... Don't miss to watch it on Aha."

Are You Okay Baby's story revolves around parents Samuthirakani and Abhirami, whose lives turn upside down as they get a phone call from Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's show. She says that Mullai Arasi has sought custody of her child whom the parents had adopted. The plot then moves on from there and ends with whether Shobha is able to retrieve her child or not.

The cast also includes Mullai Arasi, Mysskin, Murugaa Ashok, Aadukalam Naren, Anupama Kumar, Pavel Navageethan, Robo Shankar, Vinodhini, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, among others.

The film which was released in theatres on September 22, opened with mixed to positive reviews. 

An excerpt from our CE review read, "Although the film places Shobha at the centre of things, the film fails to answer pertinent questions like... What is she like as a person? How deep does the human trafficking racket go in India? How do preconceived notions and stigma hold back parents from adopting? How arduous are these court cases? These unexplored layers end up leaving a lot of these questions unanswered." 

The film's music is composed by Ilaiyaraaja, while the cinematography is handled by Krishna Sekhar and the editing is by CS Prem Kumar.
