KH234 officially launched; AR Rahman to compose

KH234, the sophomore collaboration between legendary actor Kamal Haasan and the renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam, after the 1987 classic film Nayakan, began with an official ceremony on Friday. Announcing the same, the makers released a video on their social media handles.

The video showcases the prominent personalities associated with the upcoming film on the technical front, including music composer AR Rahman, cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, editor Sreekar Prasad and action choreographer Anbariv. Further details about the cast are yet- to - be revealed. 

Written by Mani Ratnam, KH 234 will be a co-production between Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies, Kamal's Raaj Kamal Film International, and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies. 

In a previous episode of Bigg Boss, which Kamal Haasan hosts, he stated that a teaser for the film would be released on November 7, on the occasion of his 69th birthday.

Kamal Haasan, who was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram (2022), has  Indian 2 directed by Shankar in the pipeline. The film is the sequel to the 1996 film Indian, and it marks the reunion of Shankar and Kamal Haasan after several years. The upcoming film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram, and Bobby Simha in prominent roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Ravi Varman handles the camera. 

Furthermore, the actor has KH233 helmed by H Vinoth and Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, at various stages of production.
