Director Arunraja Kamaraj of Kanaa and Nenjukku Needhi fame unveiled the teaser of his upcoming debut OTT series Label, starring Jai and Tanya Hope in the lead. Label will premiere on Disney+Hotstar

The 1.15-minute-long teaser showcases montages from the Indian Constitution, specifically Article 20 which provides safeguards to the persons accused of crimes. The set of visuals that follow shows a person getting arrested after violence breaks out. The teaser for a series suggests a legal drama unfolding in a "fight for identity."

In an earlier conversation with Cinema Express, director Arunraja Kamaraj said, "The series is an action drama carrying revolutionary thoughts. The title Label refers to the identity of a person. Everybody will have their own label or identity. The story revolves around the protagonist’s struggle to reach his desired identity, overcoming the identity society has labelled him with."

Just like his first two projects, Label is also based on a Thirukkural. "Label’s one-liner is based on the Thirukural; Thondrin Pugazhodu Thondruga Akthilar Thondralin Thondramai Nanru," he explained.

Apart from Jai and Tanya Hope, the series will also feature Mahendran, Harishankar Narayanan, Charan Raj, Sriman, Ilavarasu and Suresh Chakravarthy, among others. Label is backed by Muthamizh Padaippagam Productions in association with ARK Entertainment.

The technical crew consists of Sam CS scoring the music, Dinesh Krishnan as the cinematographer and editor Raja Arumugam. Vinoth Rajkumar is the art director and Jeyachandra Hashmi has served as a writer. Director Arunraja Kamaraj himself has penned the songs for the series.

The release date of Label is yet to be announced by the makers.
