Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj took to Twitter to share that his upcoming much-anticipated film Leo, starring Vijay in the lead role has cleared censorship formalities. The action-entertainer has been given a U/A certificate by CBFC. The team also shared a new poster to make the announcement.

Meanwhile, fans of the actor and the film are awaiting the release of Leo's trailer which is all set to be out tomorrow, October 5. 

Earlier, the makers had released the second single Badass from the film. The song has been written by Vishnu Edavan with music crooned by Anirudh Ravichander.

Apart from Vijay, Leo stars Vijay, Trisha, Myskiin, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sanjay Dutt, among others.

The makers of Leo are yet to announce whether the film is a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe which already consists of Kaithi (2019) and Vikram (2022). The film has cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Backed by Lalit Kumar's 7Screen Studio, Leo marks the sophomore collaboration of the actor and filmmaker and will hit the screens on October 19.
