On Tuesday, director Halitha Shameem took to her official X handle to pen a review of the latest Sidharth-starrer Chithha, helmed by SU Arunkumar. The film hit theatres on September 28 and opened to great reviews.

She wrote, "When a man is being framed and when he is left with nothing to hope for, he smiles! That divine smile of a pure soul is so precious! Siddharth brings that purest smile on screen in #Chithha. The bitter-sweetness of life is beautifully captured by S.U. Arunkumar!"

Further, she added more about how the film made her feel. "Humour at the most random places, the characters behaving themselves and not compulsively made to suit/elevate the mood of the scene, the kids, my fav Nimisha Sajayan were all wow! Sensitive subject, sensibly handled! Film of the year!"

Chithha is backed by Siddharth's home banner Etaki Entertainments. A tense kidnap thriller drama, the film also stars Nimisha Sajayan, and Anjali Nair, among others. The film is about the relationship between an uncle and his niece, as the story takes a sour turn when a paedophile is lurking in their neighbourhood.

The technical team of Chithha comprises music composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas, cinematographer Balaji Subramanyam and editor Suresh A Prasad.
