Film producer VA Durai, who has backed many prominent Tamil films like Pithamagan, Baba, Lovely, died during the late hours of Monday due to health-related issues. He was 69.
Born on April 7, 1954, Durai had been suffering from diabetes, and had his leg amputed. As per reports, Durai had worked as executive producer in Baba starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. He has also backed films like Lovely, Gajendra, among others.
He is survived by his two wives Vijayalakshmi and Lakshmi, along with his three daughters.
