
Chithha, the recently released Tamil film starring Siddharth in the lead role, has collected Rs 11.5 crore at the box office so far, the makers of the film announced on Tuesday. The film released on September 28 in theatres, followed by a long weekend for Ganesh Chaturthi and Gandhi Jayanthi.
Chithha, which opened to positive reception, is directed by SU Arun Kumar. The film is backed by Siddharth’s Etaki Entertainment. A tense kidnap thriller drama, the film also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Anjali Nair, among others. The film is about the relationship between an uncle and his niece, as the story takes a sour turn when a pedophile is lurking in their neighbourhood.
The film will also be released in Telugu as Chinna, and in Kannada as Chikku. The technical team of Chithha comprises music composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas, cinematographer Balaji Subramanyam and editor Suresh A Prasad.
