Gautham Vasudev Menon's upcoming directorial starring actor Vikram in the lead role, Dhruva Natchathiram, is scheduled to hit the theatres on Friday. With just a day away from the release, confusions are prevailing if the film will hit the theatres as planned.
Dhruva Natchathiram’s online bookings for the shows have not opened in Tamil Nadu, further instigating the speculations that the film will not release as scheduled. However a limited set of shows are open in cities like Kochi and Bengaluru. As per reports, the makers are facing financial issues legally, due to which the release has been stalled. However an official confirmation on the release status is yet to be made.
The film is backed by Ondraga Entertainment in association with Oruoorileoru Film House. It is to be noted that the production of Dhruva Natchathiram began in 2016. The film's release has been postponed many times owing to production difficulties.
Apart from Vikram, Dhruva Natchathiram also stars Vinayakan, Ritu Varma, Parthiban, Simran and Radikaa Sarathkumar, among others. The film is backed by Ondraga Entertainment and Oru Oorile Oru Film House. With cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, Jomon T John, Santhana Krishnan, and Ravichandran, Dhruva Natchathiram has editing by Praveen Antony.
