On Monday, the makers of Criminal announced that the dubbing work for the film has begun. Starring Gautham Karthik and Sarath Kumar in lead roles, the film's shoot was recently wrapped.
Written and directed by debutant Dhakshina Moorthy Ramar, Criminal is produced by PR Meenakshi Sundaram and IB Karthikeyan under Parsa Pictures and Big Print Pictures.
In an earlier conversation with CE, the director said that Criminal is a murder mystery. Set in Madurai, Sarath plays a rural cop and Gautham plays an accused.
Criminal's technical crew includes cinematographer Prasanna S Kumar, music composer Sam CS, editor Manikandan Balaji and production designer Surya Rajeevan.
Gautham Karthik was last seen in Pathu Thala and August 16, 1947. On the other hand, Sarath Kumar, last seen in Vijay's Varisu, has a handful of projects, including Aazhi, The Smile Man, and Paramporul, among others.
