Manobala was always one of the most jovial people on sets: Radha Mohan

The demise of veteran actor and director Manobala has taken the Tamil film fraternity by grief. Having starred in almost 350 films, his brief yet impactful performance in Radha Mohan's Abhiyum Naanum is definitely one of the highlights of his career.

Still, in a state of shock, director Radha Mohan shared that Manobala was one of his closest acquaintances. "Over these years, Manobala has showered a lot of love on me. Just a few days ago, he called me up and asked, 'Have you written a role for me in your next film?' I'm still reeling away from this devastating news."

Sharing that Manobala was one of the most jovial people on the sets, Radha Mohan recalled his fondest memory of the late filmmaker. "My fondest memory of Manobala is when he called us home and cooked a special meal. It is probably not a very well-known fact that he was a great cook."

"As I am still processing this news, I realise that I would miss him a lot," says Radha Mohan as he concludes with a quiver in his voice.
