Teaser of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's Maruthi Nagar Police Station out

The teaser of Maruthi Nagar Police Station, the upcoming Tamil film starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was released by the makers on social media on Tuesday. The film will premiere on Aha Tamil on May 19.

The teaser does not reveal much about the plot but gives enough understanding that a few cops are trying to solve a case, while having a shifting power dynamics between them. The film is directed by Dhayal Padmanaban who previously worked with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in Kondraal Paavam.

“The story revolves around a police station, and happens in a single night. That’s why it's called Maruthi Nagar Police Station," the director had earlier said. Apart from Varalaxmi, who plays an SI, Maruthi Nagar Police Station also stars Arav as an ACP.

Others part of the cast include Santhosh Prathap, Mahat Raghavendra, Yasar, Vivek Rajagopal, Amit Bharghav, among others. The film is backed by Dayal Padmanabhan under D PICTURES banner. The technical crew consists of cinematographer Shekhar Chandra, Preethi- Babu handling edits and music scored by Manikanth Kadri.
