Actors Arya and Gautham Karthik will star in Manu Anand's upcoming film, Mr. X. The makers released the first look motion poster on Monday.
Produced by Prince Pictures, Manu, who previously directed Vishnu Vishal's FIR, has penned Mr. X's screenplay with Divyanka Anand Shankar and Raam H Puthran.
Speaking to Cinema Express, Manu says that Mr. X will be an action drama. "The story revolves around two individuals, played by Arya and Gautham, who embark on a journey towards a common mission. The film unfolds with how their decisions lead them to a situation and how they come out of it," he says, adding that Mr. X also explores father-son emotions.
While the first look features a glimpse of an external element hitting the Indian nation on the map, some computer codes being processed and a series of gun firings, Manu notes that these facets offer hints that have a link to the main story.
"This project has been under development for about two years. And I wanted to work with Arya for a long time. When I pitched Mr. X, he was impressed with my narration and agreed to come on board. And even Gautham and have been discussing to collaborate even before I made FIR. And when I took Mr. X to him, he also gave a green signal," Manu shares.
The director also states that they are planning to begin filming in August across India, Uganda and European countries.
Meanwhile, the film's technical crew includes cinematographer Tanveer Mir, music composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas, editor Prasanna GK and production designer Rajeevan.
