Makers of Kondraal Paavam release special video

The makers of Kondraal Paavam release an animation theme video on Sunday, ahead of the film's release. Titled The Tale of Asunama, the 90-second video shows a small animated story narrated by Radhikaa Sarathkumar. 

The video starts by introducing a mythical bird called Asunama, that had a penchant for music. So, when the hunters played the flute, the bird flew above them to hear and enjoy the music. The hunters immediately lit a fire and drew the bird towards it, thereby killing it. Radhikaa ends the story by saying, "Just as how Asunama met its end due to its desire for music, Kondraal Paavam is the story of a few humans who meet their end due to their greed."

Directed by Dayal Padmanabhan, who will be making his Tamil debut, Kondraal Paavam is the remake of the director's 2018 Kannada film Aa Karaala Ratri, which is based on a play by the same name.

Previously, Aa Karaala Ratri was remade in Telugu as Anaganaga O Athidhi, and had a direct OTT release on Aha Telugu. 

Produced by Pratap Krishna and Manoj Kumar of Einfach Studios and co-produced by Dayal Padmanabhan of D Pictures, Kondraal Paavam will be a crime thriller that will be set against the backdrop of a lonely house in Dharmapuri.

The film also stars Eswari Rao, Charle, Manobala, Jaya Kumar, Meesai Rajendran, Subramaniam Siva, Imran, Sendrayan, TSR Srinivasan, Yazar, Kavitha Bharathi, Thangadurai, and Kalyani Mahadhavi. Sam CS is composing the music for Kondraal Paavam, which has cinematography by R Chezhiyan.
