Por Thozhil, the recently released murder mystery starring Sarathkumar and Ashok Selvan, opened to positive reviews. Following the great reception, Sarathkumar took to his social media handle to extend his gratitude to the audience.

Directed by debutant filmmaker Vignesh Raja, the film also stars Nikhila Vimal in a significant role. The story revolves around a veteran cop Loganathan, played by Sarathkumar, and newbie Prakash, played by Ashok, who investigate a series of murders committed by the same person. Vignesh Raja has written Por Thozhil along with Alfred Prakash.
The film's technical crew includes Kalaiselvan Sivaji as the cinematographer, Sreejith Sarangm as the editor, and Jakes Bejoy as the music composer. The film is attached to Applause Entertainment studio, which marks its maiden Tamil project with Por Thozhil. The banner behind projects like Scam 1992, and Zwigato, is producing the film in association with E4 Experiments and Eprius Studio.
