The video of the first single from Manikandan's next film, Lover, titled Velagaadhe, was unveiled by music composer AR Rahman, on Wednesday. Kapil Kapilan and Aparna Harikumar have sung this song, which is composed by Sean Roldan. Mohan Rajan has penned the verses for Velagaadhe, which is a romantic song with a tinge of sadness.
The film, also starring Gouri Priya Reddy and Kanna Ravi, is written and directed by debutant Prabhu Ram Vyas. Speaking with CE in an earlier interview, director Prabhu Ram Vyas said, "Lover will talk about what goes into making a relationship work. It will portray the dynamics in a relationship between a man and a woman."
The film's technical crew includes Shreyaas Krishna as the cinematographer, Barath Vikraman as the editor and Rajkamal as the production designer.
Million Dollar Studios and M R P Entertainment, who backed Manikandan's hit film Good Night, are also producing Lover.
The upcoming film will hit the theatres on Valentine's Day, 2024.
