Arulnithi's Demonte Colony 2 trailer is here

The trailer of the upcoming Tamil film Demonte Colony 2, starring Arulnithi in the lead role has been unveiled by its makers on Saturday. The film is the direct sequel to the 2015 film. Ajay Gnanamuthu, who directed the original, will also serve as the director of the upcoming film.

The 2.20-minute-long trailer opens with the events of the first part where Arulnithi realises he is dead and has become a ghost. In the present, Priya Bhavani Shankar's character realises she can hear and see things from the people of the afterlife, especially Arulnithi's soul which is now trapped in a dangerous realm. Arulnithi plays a dual role and his living self is the only hope to save the soul which is stuck without redemption. As deaths pile up, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Arulnithi race against time to unravel the mystery surrounding the cursed chain and the trapped soul.

In an earlier conversation with CE, Ajay shared that the sequel will be a full-fledged horror film, unlike the first part, which had light-hearted moments in the initial portions, "The story demanded such a screenplay. From the start, the narrative will keep you engaged, leaving much less space for distractions." He adds that knowledge of the original film's events is necessary to enjoy this instalment fully. "It has been eight years since the first film, and not many people will remember the scenes from it. But we have planned campaigns that can effectively remind the audience of the crucial portions."

The film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, and Archana R.

The horror thriller has music by Sam CS and cinematography by Harish Kannan. Demonte Colony 2 is produced by Bobby Balachandran in association with Vijay Subramanian's White Nights Entertainment and RC Rajkumar's Gnanamuthu Pattarai.
